Step 1. Define your business goals

I kick things off with a strategy session to understand the current state of your business and where you want to go. We’ll chat about your business goals, pricing, services/products, target customers, value proposition, competitors, sales, SWOT analysis, customer journey, and finally current marketing activities. This will form the basis of your final marketing plan.

Step 2. Develop a killer brand

Once we’ve identified your target market, I’ll review your existing brand elements to ensure they appeal to your audience. Everything from your logo to tagline, corporate colours, business card, stationery and general tone of voice. The goal is to ensure a consistent communication message across all consumer touch points by making recommendations to set you up with a brand style guide.

Step 3. Create a lead generating website

I review your current website to ensure it’s optimised to capture customer contact details. If you have Google Analytics, I’ll take a look at that too to get an understanding of visitor behaviour and how they are finding your website. The outcome is to decide whether to a) refresh the current website, or b) develop a whole new website and or/online store. I also recommend ongoing updates to keep your website fresh as well as directory listings to refer traffic to your website.

Step 4. Build awareness on social media

I’ll perform a mini social media audit to review brand consistency, bio, content and engagement. Together we’ll then build a social media content strategy so you never run out of things to post. We go through the five must have content pillars – educate, entertain, connect, reward and promote – and put together suitable hashtags for your industry.

Step 5. Use email marketing to grow

Now that your website is optimised to capture leads, and you’re creating brand awareness via social media, it’s time to communicate regularly with your database. Together we’ll plan out 12 months of content ideas that you can send to upsell to exist customers, and keep you top of mind of potential customers until they are ready to purchase.

Step 6. Bring the marketing plan together

We bring all elements together into a simple 12 month marketing plan that you can implement yourself. I’ll also throw in some ideas outside of website, social media and email marketing that you may wish to explore. To track your efforts, I’ll provide you with a marketing report template so you can see what’s working, what isn’t working, and any potential new opportunities.
